What a blessing the 3.5 inches of gentle rain from last week is. The plants grow happily, the cows are longing to get on the pastures which are greening and growing and we can see the difference by the hour. Hurah -no irrigation for a while. We are though almost ready for the irrigation season.

Lawrence has planted peas, carrots and spinach and other greens already and we hope to be able to have vegetables to harvest earlier this year, sometime in June. We expanded the nursery and made a hot bed in there from the manure that has been building up in the chicken run. Little transplants are growing in there already keeping their feet warm when the weather gets cold.

Calving season started early in March this year. We, the cows and the 6 new calves are learning the new routine together while our milking shed get rearranged and made more practically and the calves are exploring the world.
We still have shares available, please tell your friends. We have brochures we can send per email ( for you to copy) or mail.

Ursula would like to offer a " greens" class for those who are interested in picking wild greens that are coming now. We would pick here on the farm, create and sample a few dishes and take some home. Saturday, May 23rd, 10-12am, RSVP by Thursday. $ 10 per person.
